Nawafil (Voluntary) Prayers

Salat ul tasbeeh  – It’s a nafl prayer that involves reciting a specific tasbeeh which glorifies Allah’s greatness 300 times in 4 units.

Tahajjud  –  It is a  voluntary prayer which is the beloved prayer of Allah. In Tahajjud there’s minimum two raka’ahs. This prayer is always offered at last third of night, before Fajr.

Duha (Chasht) – It is not an obligatory prayer, it is usually offered before Dhuhr prayer with no fixed number of raka’ahs.

Ishraq  – (post-sunrise prayer) : It’s again a voluntary prayer which is usually offered right after sunrise.
