This mosque is situated in the al-Jazirah neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It bears the name of Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi, a Saudi millionaire and businessman who contributed the majority of the finances for the mosque’s construction. It is believed to be the largest mosque in Riyadh. It is widely used for religious gatherings which includes Eid celebrations and Friday sermons. Juma’ah Khutbah (Friday prayers), are displayed on several LCDs for the hearing challenged people and translated into almost seven languages. This mosque is locally known for its Islamic funerary services, including ritual body washing, besides serving prayer needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was specified as one of the twelve mosques in Riyadh handling funerary rituals under safety protocols.
