اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْيُمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ، وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالإِسْلَامِ، رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ
“O Allah, grant us tranquility, faith, security, and Islam when this moon appears on us. (O moon!) Allah is both your and my Lord.

Niyyah (intention) for Observing the Fast

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
“In the name of Allah, who is the most gracious and merciful.”

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
“I intend to fast tomorrow for the month of Ramadan.”

Dua before Iftar (دعاء قبل الافطار)

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صُمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ
“Oh Allah! I broke my fast with Your provision as I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and I fasted for You.

Dua after Iftar

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَعَانَنِي فَصُمْتُ، وَرَزَقَنِي فَأَفْطَرْتُ
“All glory belongs to Allah, who provided the sustenance to break my fast and enabled me to maintain it.”
