Al Dakheel Mosque is majorly a sunni mosque (named after Sheikh Fahd bin Abdul Rahman bin Fahd al-Dakheel) which is located in the ash-shuhada neighbourhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It’s construction got completed within four years, and it opened for five daily obligatory prayers. However, this mosque is well known for Friday prayer, as it can accommodate large gatherings. Under peak hours of prayer times, it can accommodate about 1800 Muslims; but that number can exceed to 3000 when the mosque is crowded than usual. During Ramadan when the outdoor spaces are utilized the number of worshipers reach to 7000.
This mosque follows modern Najdi architectural style, it is a traditional regional Saudi architecture which has been adapted in a modern way. It has one minaret and one dome. From the mosque’s establishment until his appointment as one of the Imams of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Yasir al-Dawsari served as Imam of Al Dakheel mosque.
